Hometown Food Service began its operations in 1994 and is the kitchen/commissary for the Snyder Distributing group of
companies. Hometown Food Service currently produces between 3300 and 3700 sandwiches, salads, entrees, and desserts
daily for Snyder Distributing North (serving Dekalb, Kosciusko, Lagrange, Noble, Steuben, and Whitley counties), Snyder
Distributing (Allen County), and Snyder Distributing South (Adams, Wells, Huntington, & Whitley counties).
Responding to consumer desires both Hometown Foods and Snyder North are continually expanding the available products and dining creations in our Live Long - Healthy Dining food choice menus. Our Live Long food, snack, and beverage program is continuing to evolve and grow as more and more working people become increasingly health conscious.
Our newest program from Hometown Food Service will begin in the spring of 2008. Hometown foods will be launching our Lunch Box catering program. This catering service will be available to help fill the void for those companies wishing to hold working lunches, or to provide a catered meal during their meeting breaks.
Staffed daily, Hometown Food Services' 15 employees perform at all state and county health guidelines, and key management personnel have been "Safe Serve" certified as required by the Indiana State Board of Health.
